April is School Library Month!  We are proud and delighted that the North Side School Library is ready to serve the needs of students growing up in the digital age. Our wonderful print collection is supplemented by our dynamic and age-appropriate electronic resources to help children access information in a variety of formats and foster their developing personal interests and love of literature.

It was quite an honor to have top-notch children's author David Adler at North Side this past week.  Students in the library reported that they enjoyed reading A Little at a Time together with the author, and that they really liked learning what a rebus is!

Sixty pounds of ink cartridges and old cell phones have been collected so far in our effort to help out Clark Gardens in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.  Keep it coming!  Check out the eligibility list on fundingfactory.org to see if your old phone could put us further down the garden path to storm recovery.
